The tragically ludicrous? The ludicrously tragic?

sometimes i love reading reviews of comic books almost as much as i enjoy reading comics. i just finished reading a review that included this gem:

"Character development is largely ignored in favor of battleships being attacked by a giant crab, a reasonable trade-off as far as I'm concerned."
